County transportation issues are overseen by all three county commissioners. Here are a few things that we have accomplished together since I've been in office.
-
The County recently funded all of the "local match" of federal funds to do a transit study with the Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG), Legislators and the Cities.
-
The County funded 50% of the cost of a study of Senior Transportation in partnership with MAG.
-
I attended meetings alongside Darrell Cook, Executive Director of MAG, with four of the seven Transportation Commissioners to present MAG's I-15 pre-reconstruction plan.
-
Utah County is a full partner with MAG on all transportation issues and pays its full contract amount with MAG.
-
Utah County added a $10.00 per automobile license plate fee for future "right of way" purchase for expansion of roads in the county.
-
Utah County is in full partnership with Legislative Leadership in providing for future growth.
